  On November 20, the Doing Business in the U.S. Seminar 2025, co-hosted by AMCHAM and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), was held at the Grand Hall of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  At the seminar, Hee-jung Shin gave a presentation titled “U.S. State Incentives for Korean Companies.”  In her presentation, she explained the key features and benefits of incentive programs offered by different U.S. states in a clear and practical way.  The seminar also enabled business leaders who are planning or considering entry into the U.S. market to engage directly with U.S. state representatives. The seminar presentations were attended by representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea; the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the U.S. Embassy in Korea; Bank of Hope; and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the George Medison University Korea Campus. On November 13, ASOK attended the official launch ceremony of Invest Seoul, the investment-promotion agency established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government..  During the event, ASOK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Going forward, we will jointly pursue global investment-attraction initiatives including strengthening investment networks, conducting co-programs such as conferences, and exchanging information on corporate development policies and best practices. The 2025 SCM FAIR, held from September 10 to 12 at KINTEX, offered a comprehensive look at the latest trends and innovative technologies shaping the logistics industry.During the event, ASOK operated an exhibition booth and hosted a seminar focused on strategies for U.S. market entry, creating valuable opportunities to engage with various industry professionals. In particular, the seminar held on September 11 featured presentations and discussions on global logistics development strategies tailored to the unique strengths and industrial foundations of each U.S. state. For companies unable to attend in person, the session was live streamed via YouTube channel. On September 4, ASOK and the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea (FOMEK) co-hosted the Invest in the U.S. A to Z Seminar — a must-attend event for Korean mid-sized companies exploring opportunities in the U.S. market. The seminar covered a wide range of practical and insightful topics essential for successful market entry. Sessions included an overview of the key updates and implications of the revised OBBBA tax law, a presentation by ASOK on state-specific investment environments across the U.S., insights from Bank of Hope on cross-border banking, Aon’s session on understanding and navigating the U.S. insurance system, a practical visa issuance guide by US Consulting, and Plantech America’s hands-on construction permitting guide. On April 5, Chairman Heejung Shin gave a lecture on U.S. Business Live Insight investment to approximately 80 prospective business leaders at the 60th Anniversary Hall on the 1st floor of the Ewha New World Hall. The attendees were from the Ewha MBA program, Ewha MBA classmates (Alumni members & non-alumni members), and other association MBA Alumni members.
